TOASTING A FRIEND'S BIRTHDAY WITH A BOTTLE OF NYQUIL

Knock stopping
Yes is that you at my door
Open wound to find a knife stabbing
Lover man killer man
No where man freaks and cries numb arms
Brain dead smells of a basement years ago
Photograph the memory and paste it
Between cardboard feelings
What's the use of trying to love
Will it ever happen
Dead before gone
A high counted by fingernails times two
Each coming out to three
A love the lover and the other aspects
It's a triad diminishing
Eventually ending

Stop the train
Liquid cool blue
Ride the crimson path descending
Eye the silhouette of me dying in pain
Let me find the help and idea of
A friend eating salsa with corn chips
In New Mexico you come and diminish like
A soft passage from Vivaldi's Four Seasons
Can't you caress my sound that screams
Loneliness ease the pedals pumping hard cold blood
Why don't I hang myself
"It's too fucking easy!"

Sweat a junkies high and wander past
The crimson sky looking for your voice
Sounds that lead a hundred spring storms
A smile that casts a thousand rainbows
Works left to drain shit and hatred
A million men can't clean these arms
Is what I'm dreaming of and the holding
Embrace ball and chain me to you like
Robber to cop
