LEARNING ABOUT LOVE

I
Plant a seed
let love reign
Wash away disapproval
complacency's disease
See it grow
Watch it sway in winds'
binding birds of feather
Witness the bend of individuality
the only fear
Difference
in a garden of the same

II
Avalanche
Time hurries my heart
to harden stone
this kernel's down fall
Fractured fragments frail
no time to bale knowledge
Fails

again Tears pave path for another hero's
rest Where I long to caress
lips
warm soul
stare into the eyes
for eternity spent in your heaven
clouds fear
strengthens desire for life
your heart pumps passion
energy that could feed my emotions
crumbling
courage over cliffs
through streams wash
this kernel clean
wanting more than dreams

III
In your sleep the knight in silver shine armor
has no crime but to lance your heart with Cupid's
arrow sharp
marks
point to be made
There is no reason for a landslide blinding search
open your eyes
look to see the one who cares
waits patiently
thought his suit of armor may not shine as bright
as you have dreamt
still he'll resume the pride of his chair
ride through the rain of flint gravel rickety
protect and care
share the opening of arms
that will never be close in despair

IV
Don't blind your heart with malicious ploys
malignant neglect
Superficial lovers leave
Surpass heart's hounding nightmare
energy waste you always have to cope
with actions
Set
new responsibility take hold
to the one who could care
who dreams wishes too
Share a heart
transcend a past of preconceived notions
Don't blind your heart to love or confuse it with lust
find truth
be free too
over come past experiences
Resist paper people preaching morals
social conformities in-authentic relations
that ship emotional pain
to heart and mind find strength
magic it sings through your eyes
a beautiful soul
Don't blind your heart to this one who cares
Rejoice in the splendor
new happiness can be found
Open your pining heart to the call
Don't be blind
Love and your heart will receive bloom

V
Flat isolation blue light
jagged crumble
falls

Once again
stumbled search for tenderness
in callous foot prints
loved ones pass
Now dead is this heart
you the rising sun
that zeroed
similar to another December seventh

VI
same lesson
different face
teaching hurt
art of leaving without guilt
Should I trace trying times
toughest test
blood canvas
another lonely picture framed
view heart's offer
broken
stolen by a thief practiced at his crime
with no thought of words
love signed
